I became ill at nineteen years old. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. I am on the road to recovery after coming to ADS when I was twenty-one years old. I enjoy making new friends. I like playing cards, basketball and art. Art helps me be happy and brings joy in my heart and peace. I feel talented. Staying on medications and therapy has helped me on my journey to recovery. My job at ADS has helped me feel more normal and have enthusiasm. I want to thank you for the opportunity to share my art through the Showcase and I hope you enjoy it as much I did painting it.
