I am a 57-year-old woman with intellectual disability. I live with my mom and step dad in Enterprise, Alabama. My disability limits my ability to perform certain tasks on my own. Through training with my parents and my teachers at Vivian B. Adams School, I have learned many independent living skills. The first time I painted was last year, for the annual Christmas Bazaar at Adams School. My aide, Mrs. Barbara taught me to have fun and paint whenever I like. Painting makes me happy.
