I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder with Schizoid Affective at age 23. I spent 20 years going in and out of Bryce hospital. Then I spent time in Selma going to day treatment and lived in the community. Art allows me to repress myself. ADS have given me the opportunity to set goals have a circle of friends and Center of Hope has brought me closer to God. I have a circle of friends to support me. I know how I feel when I miss Center of Hope. Center of Hope is like missing church for me. My journey of recovery began when I entered ADS after being medicine compliant, A circle of friends has helped me meet my goals. My goals are doing my work by attending group with Jacob, being at the group home and working my program. My art is showing the beginning of entering my journey of recovery. The art shows how I began my journey.
