Shell Collage
I was born three months premature and grew up in Mobile. I have always had to work much harder to overcome my multiple disabilities, which caused my mental Illness. I have always enjoyed creating artwork, first as a hobby then later for therapy.
I went to college in LA. I studied under three artist professors: Gail Hood, Robert Labranche, and Sarah Wiseman. I took Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and Mixed Media Collage courses to improve my artistic techniques and skills in expressing my emotions in an abstractive, expressionistic style. I currently love working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints/mediums and collages, experimenting with warm and cool colors while painting and drawing animals, people, and landscapes. Recently, I worked at SOMI Club as a volunteer teaching several different art classes to their members.
