I am a young, proud Talladega native. I have never met a stranger. I always have a story to share with others. I play a helpful role at the day program when needed. I enjoy helping staff keep the building clean and beautiful. I can also be known has a practical joker. I find it hilarious to sneak up on staff and scare them. The painting, “That’s a Good One” embodies everything that I am and want to be in life.

I have had a difficult upbringing. I was diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome which resulted in having a cleft palate, gastrointestinal and intellectual disabilities. I was placed with the Arc of Central Alabama due to my family not having the means to care for me properly. Although I do get to spend time with them on a regular basis, I struggle with not being at home. Structured activities such as this exhibit keeps me focused on a positive outlook.
