I can remember having suicidal thoughts as early as eight years old. I sought professional help in my early twenties, when I was diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety disorder. I couldn’t perform at work and my career began a downward spiral until I was offered a position at a local nonprofit organization. It was there I learned to deal with my anxiety because something that was more important than me needed my voice.

I was that kid who doodled in her notebooks and sketched pictures of my friends on copy paper instead of taking notes. I majored in Media Advertising but have only taken few actual fine art courses. I began painting as an occasional hobby and began to think about it as a career and a form of therapy a year ago. I enjoy painting in the style abstract realism, I realized that it’s the best painting style for me because it is free-flowing and I do not have to conform myself to a rigid style.
